Finally, a Noise Channel episode that TrueStar can archive!  Sorry we’ve been podcast silent for the past few weeks.  We don’t usually archive listening parties and due to the severe stream issues during the NoiseChan album show, nothing was recorded.

TrueStar discovers that there is a method to rip music from YouTube videos.  She’s very behind the times.  Anyway she takes advantage of this newly discovered technology to rip mp3s of chiptunes she couldn’t otherwise find.

Nugget’s 5th birthday is April 13th and he has  been working very hard to procure the best chiptune artists around for a Noise Channel chiptune compilation album!  After many months of working on it, it’s finally ready for the public.

On April 11th, ‘Noisechan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptunes’ will be released on Ubiktune.  It will be made available on Bandcamp as ‘pay what you want’.  However, all money (minus the generously discounted 10% fee for Bandcamp) will go directly to the Child’s Play Charity.

To celebrate, TrueStar will be hosting a pre-release party for the album.  In typical Noise Channel tradition, the listeners will get to listen to the album before it goes on sale.  There is a very likely chance that many artists from the album will be in the chat and talking with the listeners!

Ah, yes about the artists.  It’s TOP SECRET!  You won’t know until the album’s release, unless you’re really clever!  Trust me, Nugget is very well connected in the chiptune scene and he has secured the finest artists around!  Join the Facebook event to keep up to date on artist clues.

Tracklist of Robokabuto’s ‘Notes ZeroPage’ album

TrueStar recently acquired a small stack of Japanese chiptune albums from Jeriaska over at Nubuwo.  She fell in love with Robokabuto’s album titled ‘Notes ZeroPage’ – twelve tracks of chiptune arrangements.

Tonight she dedicates the show to this album and throws in a new TQ-Jam track and some hally in for good measure.  In lieu of a playlist, TrueStar took a photo of the album.  Many of the tracks are in Japanese.  If anyone out there could translate them, please let us know!
