2013-04-11_NNAiC_FrontcoverIt’s finally here!  After over a year of planning and organizing, the Noise Channel compilation album is finally available to all.  All profit made from album sales will go to the Child’s Play charity organization, so be sure to throw a few dollars at it!  The album is titled NoiseChan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptunes and is hosted by Ubiktune.

Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to this project.  TrueStar is pretty good at organizing, but the artists’ creativity is what really makes this album so special.

Noise Channel’s compilation album – Noisechan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptunes – will be released on April 11th.  We are celebrating with our own listening party right before the album is released.

Starting Off the New Year Right with Preschtale Variations!

Noise Channel’s very first show of 2013 will feature a brand new album from the Ubiktune label.

“Preschtale Variations” is a compilation album featuring performances and covers from C-Jeff’s “Preschtale” album released one year ago.  With over an hour of music from artists in the Ubiktune family, this is something you absolutely cannot miss.  Join the event on Facebook to stay updated.

Noise Channel Holiday Schedule

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  TrueStar & Producer Jake will be out of town for a few weeks which means there will be some changes to the Noise Channel schedule.

There will be no show this Thursday (December 27th), but there will be a Listening Party on New Year’s Day!  The show will be extended; the first hour will be music from the artist and then the second hour will feature the new album from the artist.

Afterwards, Noise Channel will be on a three week hiatus while TrueStar and Producer Jake visit family.  Nugget will be living it up in some swanky pet hotel that looks more a human five star hotel.

Noise Channel is expected to return on January 17th.

Noise-chan by LeoSince it is Thanksgiving here in the USA, there will be no new episode of Noise Channel this week.  However, as a thank you to all of our listeners, we have posted both the original Noise Channel theme and the Nugget’s Choice them on Bandcamp!

We have received multiple requests for these tunes and we are happy to make them available to everyone for free.  However, there is a pay what you want option.  Any money made from the theme songs will go right back into buying new music and equipment for Noise Channel.  Let us be clear though, we are more than happy to give these themes to you for free!  It’s our way of thanking you for listening to the show.  Noie Channel would be pretty dull without you!

This Noise Channel listening party is so special that we’re doing it on Tuesday instead of Thursday.

Producer Jake has been working really hard at WayForward Studios and now Noise Channel listeners get to listen to his latest musical creation!  Join us on September 11th starting at 10PM Eastern to listen to the Double Dragon Neon OST.  Jake will be on the air and in the chat room to talk about the game and answer listener questions.

The soundtrack release will coincide with the listening party.  If you enjoy what you heard, you can claim your own copy after the show.

The Final Round of the Fourth Annual Nugget’s Choice Award

Half of last week’s voting was incredibly close, but we have our finalists!  The final showdown is between Chibitech and Shnabubula.

Chbitech is on the lineup for this year’s upcoming Blip Festival Tokyo.  Shnabubula has released two amazing albums very recently on Ubiktune titled NES Jams and Starbound.  Both are amazingly talented, but only one can be declared a winner!

We are down to a mere eight artists instead of the 32 we started with.  Chibitech can make the Gameboy sing while Disasterpeace is the talented artist behind the Fez soundtrack.  Zabutom is plowing his way through the competition, but can he get past a veteran like Bit Shifter?  Yogurtbox and Shnabubula are both artists featured on Ubiktune and very talented.  Finally, we have Danimal Cannon and Anamanaguchi which is just…cruel.
