It was a regular show this week.  TrueStar hosted, Jake produced, and Nugget snored.  Listeners discovered that there IS such a thing as chip-hop and TrueStar gushed over her email from TQ-Jam.  It was a normal day here at the Noise Channel studio.

Except…

Ubiktune is release SOUNDSHOCK 2 next week, it’s undead, and Noise Channel will be hosting the listening party!  All anyone knows is that it’s the sequel to SOUNDSHOCK: FM FUNK MADDNESS!! and it has something to do with being ‘undead’. Noise Channel Will Host Ubiktune’s SOUNDSHOCK 2 Listening Party

If you’re a fan of chiptunes, then you’ve probably listened to and enjoyed Ubiktune’s SOUNDSHOCK: FM FUNK MADDNESS!! album.  On April 5th, the sequel, SOUNDSHOCK 2, will be released.

TrueStar finds the perfect song for her nemesis, Sex Robot.  She also finds various live Blip Festival sets and plays parts of them for the listeners.  TQ-Jam, a Noise Channel favorite, releases a new track and everyone falls in love with it.

Blip Festival NYC and Tokyo has been announced!  The NYC event will take place on May 25-27 and Tokyo will be on October 20-21.

Suraida, one of the hosts on Nitro Game Injection, drew Noise-chan rocking out with Ariane during their ninth anniversary show!  Ariane is the mascot of Nitro Game Injection, another show on Arecibo Radio.  It’s so adorable…I can’t stand it.

Noise Channel Will Host the NES Jamz Pre-Release Listening Party!

Piano God and chiptune master, Shnabubula, will release his NES Jamz album on March 15th.  Here is a description, provided by Ubiktune.

NES Jamz consists of 10 covers of classic game music themes + one completely original song, including such well-known games as TMNT 1 & 2, Contra, Megaman 2 & 3, Double Dragon, Castlevania, Zelda 2, Little Nemo: the Dream Master and Shatterhand. But as the name says, these are not just pure covers: Shnabubula goes further and makes it jam with his unique fingers like you’ve never heard! All the songs were recorded within 3 months of hard work, using only the piano and NES.

Noise Channel will host a pre-release listening party for NES Jamz.  TrueStar will play the entire album and share details about the album and individual tracks with the listeners.  Shnabubula himself will be available to talk to in the Arecibo Radio chatroom.  After the show, NES Jamz will be released to the public via Ubiktune.

TrueStar gives away download codes for both the soundtrack to Retro City Rampage and Minusbaby’s ‘Bias’ album.  She also catches up with recent chiptune releases and features older 8bitpeoples tracks.  Danimal Cannon also drops by with a brand new track!

Noise Channel is happy to report that Nugget has been faring better since his twi seizures  last Tuesday.  In light of this, TrueStar and virt have decided to put all future donations from FX4 to a ‘Nugget Wellness Fund’ in case of expensive vet bills.  We want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts about Nugget’s health and FX4 donations.

Records were shattered as people from all over the world tuned into the FX4 Listening Party.  virt joined TrueStar again this week to introduce FX4, his latest chiptune album.
