TrueStar is trying to survive finals week, so Jake ‘virt’ Kaufman has offered to guest host Noise Channel on December 15th. Expect to hear some of his favorite chiptunes and general silliness.
TrueStar will be back on December 22nd to host Noise Channel’s Holiday Special.
After some initial technical difficulties, TrueStar manages to get it together and make the chiptunes go.
Producer Jake composed the soundtrack for Bloodrayne: Betrayal and it was nominated for ‘Best Independent’ score on Square Enix Music’s Annual Game Music Awards. He was also nominated for ‘Outstanding Contribution – Independent Composer’. Danimal Cannon was nice (crazy) enough to allow me to host a listening party for his debut chiptune album titled ‘Roots’. In this episode I start off with some chiptune pre-gaming. Afterwards, I play the album from start to finish. Before each track, I read notes from Danimal Cannon explaining details and inspiration for each track. We also gave away stuff! Much fun was had.
