This week, C-Jeff was kind enough to give me two tracks from his upcoming album titled Preschtale to play on Noise Channel.  I also play tracks off albums that were nominated for best chiptune album of the year by Square Enix Music Online and other tracks from MAGFest chiptune performers.

Meanwhile, Producer Jake drools on the mic over Quarky’s cookie care package. Continue reading »

The Noise Channel Team

Hello and おはようございます!

Everyone here at Noise Channel wishes you a happy holiday!  Thank you for listening to our show; it amazes us every single week that anyone bothers to tune in at all!  It never gets old and we love every minute of it.  We hope that you will stick with us into the new year.

Next year we already have a listening party on January 12th for Daniel Capo’s ‘O.S.T.: Original Soundtrack’ album and I’m working on having a show dedicated to the talented Ryu Umemoto.  Producer Jake and I will also have new Chip 101 episodes.

Again, thank all of your for listening!  Seriously, we love you guys.

After some initial technical difficulties, TrueStar manages to get it together and make the chiptunes go.

Producer Jake composed the soundtrack for Bloodrayne: Betrayal and it was nominated for ‘Best Independent’ score on Square Enix Music’s Annual Game Music Awards.  He was also nominated for ‘Outstanding Contribution – Independent Composer’.  In light of this, I play one of his favorite chiptune tracks from Bloodrayne, as well as some Katamari covers, a new Chip’s Challenge track, and much more! Danimal Cannon was nice (crazy) enough to allow me to host a listening party for his debut chiptune album titled ‘Roots’.  In this episode I start off with some chiptune pre-gaming.  Afterwards, I play the  album from start to finish.  Before each track, I read notes from Danimal Cannon explaining details and inspiration for each track.  We also gave away stuff!  Much fun was had.

This episode of Noise Channel broke the previous listener record held on Arecibo Radio.  Thanks for everyone who tuned in!
